Michelle is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department. She supervises the implementation of accounting policies and procedures as well as monitors the accuracy of accounts payable, billing, cash management, and the management information system. Michelle is responsible for the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages, including the trial balance, balance sheets, budgets and other reporting requirements.
Focusing on accounting systems in the construction industry, Michelle has designed, implemented and maintained multiple Enterprise Resource Planning and Managerial Accounting Systems throughout her career. With over 20 years of experience in cost and managerial accounting, she has extensive experience in overseeing accounting departments as well as setting the technological direction of corporations.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Tulane University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, and her Masters of Accounting from the University of Rhode Island.
The Personal Side
Michelle is always interested in spending time with family and enjoys traveling to visit her relatives in the South and on the West Coast. Closer to home, she enjoys spending time with her son, walking outdoors, and kayaking on the weekend.
