St. Luke’s Hospital, NEW BEDFORD, MA
VALUE DELIVERED
Combining advanced systems expertise and extensive experience in the healthcare sector, EMCOR Services Northeast’s controls division provides clients with tightly integrated, centralized operational control in both new and retrofit applications. Northeast was selected by St. Luke’s Hospital to replace their existing Building Automation System (BAS). The new system that Northeast installed consistently maintains the climate in the facility, ensuring the patients and staff stay comfortable, while also providing optimal performance of the building systems, and reducing energy consumption and costs.
CLIENT OBJECTIVES
St. Luke’s Hospital’s top priority was to replace the existing Building Automation System with a more up-to-date, robust system.
SOLUTIONS
Northeast’s scope for the building’s 300 bed facility included replacing the existing, outdated Building Automation System. After an extensive review of the multiple existing HVAC control systems, Northeast’s technicians and the client collaborated and created a customized program to replace outmoded hardware and software. Northeast installed new equipment with improved graphical interface that allows maintenance personnel to access the HVAC systems more effectively. This retrofit work will significantly reduce the building’s energy consumption and operating costs and improve the comfort level for the hospital’s patients and staff.
