As the prime mechanical contractor on this design-build project, EMCOR Services Northeast (ES Northeast) delivered a range of complex services which:
- Allowed plant flexibility and redundancy
- Helped lower energy costs significantly
- Achieved rebates that allowed for additional value adds to be completed within budget
- Helped improve overall operation of the chiller plant and process loop
Client Objectives
A global manufacturer needed chiller and controls solutions that would offer service flexibility, a non-propriety controls installation, and engineering modifications to improve overall system operations.
Solutions
ES Northeast provided and installed two 600-ton chillers and completed mechanical and electrical services including:
- Modifying piping and valves to help improve performance
- Overhauling the controls and implementing a new front end
- Loop tuning to help continually improve system performance during ever-changing process loads
